ShiymaTech is built on several years of research experience in science and technology projects, which have already led to several novel products.
Scientists in our R&D team have strong track records of achieving local and international research awards including funding from InnovateUK and EU (FP7, Horizon 2020). These include research grants for: Antibacterial & Antibiofilm surfaces, Catalysts, Electrocatalysts, Nanomaterials and Functionalised Surfaces, some of which are being commercialised through patent applications. The team has also published several high impact scientific articles.
ShimyaTech is a keen promoter of Open Innovation and welcomes collaboration for joint venturing and co-development of new and novel products and applications.

A range of market tested ideas currently are within the knowledge and IP portfolio of the firm, which can be developed and commercialised with some minimal final investment. These include:
1- Products and technologies related to Antibacterial and antibiofilm surfaces, antibacterial solutions and disinfectants.
We have previously collaborated and received research funding from EU Horizon 2020 RAI program to carry out research in this field in collaboration with 15 EU partners for the development of antibiofilm coatings for medical devices.
2- Antibacterial and wound healing materials.
Our team has previously undertaken a project for proof of concept and market research on this product, which was partly funded by Innovate-UK and University of Liverpool. The outcomes are currently in the process of commercialisation and patent registration.
3- Chemically modified devices
The team has developed chemically modified electrodes and surfaces during a number of research projects carried out supported from various funding bodies and in collaboration with Universities including University of Liverpool, Coventry University, Liverpool John Moores University and Keele University.
4- Modified Nanomaterials for air and water filters
5- Modified surfaces for sensors and catalysts
6- Modified electrodes and Electrocatalysts for Fuel Cells.
